CLASSICAL GIUTARS MAURO GIULIANI: THE ORIGINS
CRAFTSMEN SINCE 1949
GUITAR MAURO GIULIANI was born thanks to the collaboration between some friends, who have in common a strong passion for music, especially for classical guitars.
In order to fulfil its own mission, Guitar Mauro Giuliani benefits from the collaboration of Mirko Migliorini, famous luthier with more than twenty-five years of experience and whose classical guitars are played by several renowned international musicians, and of GUITARRERIA CAMPS, a small family-run handcrafted factory which was founded in Gerona in 1949 by Juan Camps and now managed by his two sons, Jordi and Javier.

WHO IS MAURO GIULIANI?
Mauro Giuseppe Sergio Pantaleo Giuliani was born in Bisceglie in Apulia on 17th July 1781.
He was the most significant composer, musician and guitar teacher of the 19th century.
We dedicate our guitars to him, under the patronage of Centro Studi Mauro Giuliani of Bisceglie
Guitar, which was considered too popular uninteresting and suitable only for songs accompaniments, acquired fame and prestige thanks to him, in both solo and chamber music.
Mauro Giuliani composed four concerts for guitar and orchestra, a quintet for guitar and strings and others chamber music compositions, but he also devoted himself to teaching; actually, his studies, variations, waltzes and sonatinas have a musical quality which makes possible that, even today, he is considered an essential author for every guitarist at any level.
